Genesis
Midas Communications traces its origins back to 1981, when it started as the Islamabad office of the then nascent Midas (Pvt.) Ltd., the first Midas company founded by Mr Ghulam Akbar. Over the next two decades, the Islamabad office was responsible for business in and around the federal capital - with varying levels of independence at various points in time.
In May 2000, the Islamabad office was spun off as an independent company – Midas Advertising (Pvt.) Ltd. Headquartered in Islamabad, the new company grew in leaps and bounds, soon establishing a nationwide presence all of its own. In July 2008, we changed the name to Midas Communications (Pvt.) Ltd to better reflect our business posture.
